Fire Ops 101 continues to be an incredible opportunity to strengthen relationships, share knowledge, and provide a firsthand look into the realities of the fire service. Through this collaborative effort between Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters IAFF Local 1974 and the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, participants were immersed in the challenges, decision-making, and teamwork that define our profession.

From hands-on evolutions to live demonstrations, the day reinforced critical lessons about coordination, communication, and the complexity of emergency operations. More importantly, it fostered a deeper appreciation for the training, skill, and dedication required to serve our community safely and effectively.

We are proud of the strong partnerships built through this program and grateful for the continued support that allows us to grow together. Fire Ops 101 not only enhances understanding-it strengthens the bond between our firefighters and the community we serve.

Our first Fire Ops 101 was hosted in 2015.
