When you call for help, you deserve to know that the people responding are ready for anything. The men and women of the Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters Local 1974 take that responsibility seriously. Every shift, our members give their all to protect lives, property, and the communities we’re proud to serve.

We train hard, we stay ready, and we hold ourselves to the highest standards because our neighbors deserve nothing less. Whether it’s a fire, a medical emergency, or a major disaster, our goal is always the same: to bring knowledge, experience, and compassion to every call.

Our union exists to make sure firefighters have what they need to do the job safely and effectively. That means advocating for the right staffing levels, modern equipment, and fair wages and benefits. It also means standing up for our members’ physical, mental, and financial well-being, both on and off the job.

Local 1974 has a proud history in the Tri-Valley. The firefighters who came before us built this union on teamwork, integrity, and service, and it’s our duty to carry that legacy forward. We stay involved in local issues, support our community, and build partnerships that help keep Livermore and Pleasanton safe and strong.

To our communities, thank you for the continued trust and support. It’s an honor to serve you and to represent the men and women who answer the call 24 hours a day. I’m proud of what we’ve built together and confident in the future of this great organization.
