LIVERMORE-PLEASANTON, CA- The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department (LPFD) released the 2016 end of the year report.
According to the report, the LPFD responded to nearly 14,000 incidents, an increase of 8.3% over the previous year.
While medical/rescue incidents represented nearly 65% of all incidents, the 445 fires the LPFD responded to still present a significant safety and property loss risk to the communities.
Engine Company 97 stationed at Pine/Rincon in the City of Livermore was the busiest company with 2,661 responses. The second busiest company overall, and busiest in the City of Pleasanton is Engine Company 94 with 1,517 incidents, stationed on Bernal across from the fairgrounds. Truck Company 96 is the busiest truck with 1,509 incidents, stationed on East/Loyola in the City of Livermore.
The report also highlights accomplishments to include the opening of the new firehouse 9, and updating the fleet with the purchase of three new pierce quantum fire engines.
